CAMIP
Capacitive Measurements of Insulating Properties Measurement Device for Detection of Failures in Insulating Coatings e.g. on Carbon Fibre Composites
The CAMIP measuring device is used for the detection of defects in insulating coatings on electro-conductive materials, such as carbon fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) in order to avoid dangerous galvanic corrosion.
The CAMIP measuring device is a handheld model for fast and accurate detection of defects (e.g. pin hole). Defects with a diameter of 200 μm or less in an insulating coating can be reliably detected.
A sensor is used to find failures in the coating. The sensor is moved by hand over the surface of interest. The CAMIP measuring device is battery working. The weight is about 0,5 kg and is therefore easy to transport.
